The total number of global coronavirus cases have crossed 1 million and the number is rising at a rapid rate with thousands of new cases emerging from around the world. The death toll has also crossed 51,000 and keeps rising with no signs of slowing down.
United States Coronavirus Cases
United States currently accounts for over 20% of the total world cases for COVID-19 with over 22,000 cases reported in the last 24 hours in the country. The current number now stands at 238,556 but keeps rising by the minute.
United States also has the third highest number of coronavirus deaths of in the world at 5,741 with over 700 fatalities reported in the last 24 hours and this number is now rising with more and more deaths being reported in the country.
Italy Coronavirus Cases
Italy has the second highest number of COVID-19 cases in the world at 115,242 although it has seen a decline in the number of new cases. However, Italy still has the highest number of fatalities at 13,915 with close to a thousand deaths being reported everyday.
Spain Coronavirus Cases
Spain has the third highest number of COVID-19 cases at over 110,000 and also has the second highest death toll in the world with 10,096 with over hundreds dying every single day and the highest number recorded was 838 deaths overnight.
The number of coronavirus cases in Germany is also climbing fast with over 84,000 cases already reported and rising fast. The number of deaths however is still very low compared to some other other countries in Europe like France.
France currently has over 4,500 fatalities which is very high if the total number of COVID-19 cases are taken into account which are only 59,000 and rising rapidly.
