The Chairman of Ruet e Hilal Committee Mufti Muneeb ur Rehman said that the current extension in lockdown is not for mosques (Masjid).
Mufti Muneeb ur Rehman outlined the points while addressing the press conference in Karachi:
- Friday Prayers, Taraweeh Prayers and Aitakaf will continue as normal
- People must perform ablution (Wuzu) from their homes before coming to Mosques for prayers.
- People suffering from underlying health issues and suspected coronavirus patients should stay at home and avoid coming to Mosques.
- Sanitizers should be made available at mosque’s entrance.
- Mosques will remain open following precautionary measures.

آج سے مساجد پر لاک ڈاون کا اطلاق نہیں ہوگا، (مفتی منیب الرحمن) نماز جمعہ، تراویح اور اعتکاف سمیت تمام عبادات باقاعدہ طور پر ادا کی جائیں گی۔ نماز کیلئے آنے والے تمام لوگ گھروں سے وضو کرکے آئیں، بیمار یا وائرس سے متاثر افراد مساجد میں نہ آئیں، مساجد کے دروازوں پر سینی ٹائزر لگانے کا اہتمام کیا جائےگا، احتیاطی تدابیر کے ساتھ مساجد کھلی رہیں۔
NOTE: Sanitizers that are effective against Coronavirus (COVID-19) contain certain amount of ALCOHOL which will be available at mosque entrance before entering.
Everyone who is considering using non-alcohol based sanitizers should note that they are not effective against the current coronavirus.
Although Federal and Provincial governments have not announced any decision regarding opening of mosques and these precautionary measures outlined by Mr Mufti Muneeb ur Rehman.
