KARACHI: The Ramadan 2020 moon has not been sighted and first Ramazan will be from Saturday 25 April 2020 according to Mufti Muneeb ur Rehman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.
The Zonal and district committees also held their respective meetings including the Islamabad Zonal Committee to met at the Kohsar Complex for the Ramadan moon sighting.

Ramadan 2020 moon has been sighted in UAE, Malaysia, Egypt, Indonesia, Singapore, Philipines, Brazil, Japan, Cambodia and India where Ramazan will be observed from tomorrow 24 April 2020.
The moon wasn’t sighted in Australia and New Zealand and Muslims over there will be observing Ramazan from 25 April 2020.
The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee had a representative of the Science Ministry on board for the first time in the history of Pakistan. Joint Secretary Dr Tariq Masood was appointed as the technical expert for the Committee during the Ramazan moon sighting.
The Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) also aided in the moon sighting through computer generated images.
