Honda Atlas manufacturing plant has been shut down due to COVID-19 for and extended period as revealed by the company through a public notice.
According to the notice issued by Honda Atlas, the shut down of their manufacturing plant will result in delays in their deliveries and production but in wake of the current pandemic they have taken this decision for the safety of their employees.
The company did not reveal when the plant will reopen and said that it has been closed for an indefinite period until the COVID-19 situation resolves and the lockdown is lifted.
Earlier this month Toyota Indus Motor Company (IMC) also issued a notification stating that they will be shutting down their production plant due to coronavirus and even raised prices for all their vehicles including the newly launched Toyota Yaris which saw a price hike of Rs. 500,000 without even delivering a single unit.

Honda Atlas Cars Pakistan and IMC aren’t the only ones who have halted operations as according to reports most other manufacturers are also taking a break from production owing to the increase in the coronavirus outbreak. These car manufacturers include:
- Pak Suzuki Motor Company
- Hyundai Nishat Motor
- Regal Automobiles
- United Auto Industries
- Master Motors
- Al-Haj FAW Group
- KIA Motors
