ISLAMABAD: The Federal Cabinet approved a relief package worth Rs. 75 billion for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) and daily or unemployed laborers.
This relief package was approved in a cabinet meeting chair by Prime Minister Imran Khan today where they ratified and discussed the decisions taken the Economic Coordination Committee.
This package is part of the Chota Karobar Imdadi Package which is aimed at providing small and medium businesses relief from electricity bills for a period of three months of May, June and July.

The government has set a budget of Rs. 50 billion for this initiative and business will electricity consumption between 5kW to 70kW will get benefit from this Chota Karobar Imadadi Package.
The other stage of this package is the Rs. 75 billion budget set aside under which daily laborers or small businesses can get Rs. 12,000 financial assistance because many businesses are entire closed and people have lost their jobs.
This package aims at helping those who were not included in the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program and application for this package will commence soon.
Further more, the federal cabinet in their meeting also gave three more weeks to the Sugar Forensic Commission to compile the detailed reported requested on the sugar and wheat scandal.
