LAHORE: Government of Punjab has extended timings for Utility Stores to facilitate the people according to a notification issued by the Punjab Primary and Secondary Health Department.
Utility Stores will now operate from 9am in the morning to 8pm after Iftar where earlier most stores were closing by 5pm.
On the other hand, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar said that markets in the province will start opening in phases when he was talking to a delegation of traders and industrialists regarding the lockdown.

A committee has been formed which is led by the provincial minister for industries for this very purpose so that they can monitor businesses to make sure that standard operating procedures (SOPs) are being followed.
According to the Chief Minister the objective is to compensate for hardship and losses facing the common man during the lockdown.
However, industries and traders will need to strictly follow the SOPs issued by the government otherwise action will be taken and businesses will be shut down as a result.
