QUETTA: Balochistan Government Spokesperson Liaquat Shahwani while addressing the media said that 88 percent of Balochistan cases of coronaivirus are now locally transmitted.
He also added that the recovery rate for the virus has also decreased from 55 percent to 15 percent and urged people to follow the standard operating procedures issued by the government other even stricter actions will be taken.
There are 1,321 confirmed cases in Balochistan while the number of fatalities from the coronavirus have reached 21. Liaquat Shahwani also addressed the delay in test results saying that it was due to the reshuffle of staff that caused the delays.

As the number of cases in the country keep mounting, the Balochistan government has also taken the decision to extend the province wide lockdown for another 15 days till 19 April, 2020.
A notification has already been issued by the Province’s Home Department with standard operating procedures (SOPs) that have to be followed by businesses and the general public otherwise strict action will be taken. This is ensure that the spread of the coronavirus is kept under control.
