LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed Babar Azam as ODI team captain for 2020-2021 along with Azhar Ali as Test captain. PCB has also announced the central contract list for 2020-21 which includes Naseem Shah and Iftikhar Ahmad as the two new faces in the 18 player list for the season.
The central contract list will come into effect from 1 July 2020 and includes some major changes like demoting Sarfraz Ahmad and Yasir Shah from Category A to Category B while not naming the two fast pacers Muhammad Amir and Wahab Riaz.
During this period, Pakistan is scheduled to play nine test matches, 20 T20Is, six ODIs and not to forget the Asia Cup and the ICC Mens T20 World Cup 2020.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has inlcuded the Emergency Player’s Category for the first time as part of their commitment to reward high performing young players. The first players on the list are Haider Ali, Haris Rauf and Mohammad Hasnain.
Apart from this, PCB is also in the process of creating an enhanced domestic contract for the season for players who have performed well during the previous season and have remained in or around the national team.
Unfortunately for Hasan Ali, Muhammad Amir and Wahab Riaz, they have been removed from the central contract list for this upcoming season.
