ISLAMABAD: The Government of Pakistan has announced six days Eid Holidays from 22 May to 27 May, 2020 on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr 2020 according to a notification issued by the Ministry of Interior.
According to the notification during these six Eid Holidays on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr 2020, all businesses public places, community markets and shops are to remain closed.
Only shops selling essential items such as grocery stores and medical services including medical stores will remain open during this period.

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will meet on 23 May 2020 under chairman Mufti Muneeb ur Rehman for the Shawwal moon sighting according to a spokesperson of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
A Statement by the Ministry of Religious Affairs read:
Meetings of Zonal/District Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will be held at their respective Headquarters at the same time. The Zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Islamabad will hold its meeting in the Ministry of Religious Affairs & Interfaith Harmony,
