KARACHI: After refusing to lift the ban of public transport, the Sindh Government has now agreed to resume public transport in Sindh after Eid Holidays. This includes public buses and online ride hailing services.
It has been almost two months since the Sindh Government imposed a ban on the Public Transport and Ride Hailing-Services.
Earlier Sindh Government refused Federal Governments’ appeal to resume transport services.
Meanwhile, Railways Minister Shaikh Rasheed awaits for Sindh Government to give green signal for resuming Train services across the country.
According to Shaikh, 70 Trains departs from Karachi everyday on regular basis, while in COVID-19 Pakistan Railways is planning to run only 15 trains to cater the passengers following the SOPs.
The Federal Government will decide the final decision to resume Train service on Wednesday.
However, Sindh Government has not decided to resume Train Service in Sindh especially in Karachi where coronavirus cases are increasing on a daily basis.
