CHINA: Thirty-seven students and two teachers were injured at elementary school in a knife attack on Thursday.
The knife stabbing incident took place at Wangfu Central Primary School in Cangwu County at about 8:30 a.m. (8:30 p.. ET Wednesday).
The injuries are not described as serious, all the 37 seven students and 3 teachers are being treated in a local hospital.

The 37 students are said to be slightly injured while the two adults were more heavily injured.
The single attacker has been detained by the police. The suspect is said to be a security guard of the same school. No further information is provided about the attacker. The investigations are underway.
Knife attack at elementary school in China
The alleged attacker is identified as fifty-year-old security guard of the school named Li Xiamin.
According to an official report, the 37 students suffer from minor wounds. The two adults injured included the principal and a guard who are said to be seriously injured.
Eight ambulances were immediately rushed to the school and all injured were transferred to the local hospital. Non of the injuries were life threatening.

The age of students attending elementary school is between 6 to 12 years. Knife attack at schools is common in China. Previously such attacks have been reported in China in recent years.
In September 2019, a forty-year-old man killed eight students and injured two at an elementary school in Central China.
In October 2018, a woman slashed 14 students with a kitchen knife at a kindergarten in Chongqing in central China.
In a similar knife attack nine students were killed at a middle school in Shaanxi province in April 2018.
In 2017 a man attacked kindergarten students by climbing over a wall. Eleven students were injured in the knife attack.
