The total number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan have surged to 98,227 while the country’s death toll has reached 1,998. There were 4,898 more cases reported on Saturday (6 June 2020) along with a total of 69 more fatalities from across the country.
Sindh reported 19 more fatalities according to the coronavirus update issued by the Provincial Health and Population Department. This brings the provincial death toll to 634 while total cases in Sindh have reached 36,364.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department reported 20 more fatalities bringing the provincial death toll to 561 while total cases in the province have reached 13,001.
Punjab reported 24 more fatalities which brings the provincial death toll to 683 according to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA). The number of cases have reached 37,090.
Balochistan reported no new fatalities keeping the confirmed provincial death toll of 54 while the probable death toll has reached 51. The number of cases in the province have reached 6,221 according to the Daily Situation Report issued by the Balochistan Health Department.
Islamabad reported four more fatalities according to the District Health Office Islamabad and the Government of Pakistan COVID-19 Dashboard. This brings the death toll of the capital city to 45. Here are details of the cases in Islamabad as shown by the DHO.
Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan both reported one fatality each according to the Government’s COVID-19 Dashboard. This brings total cases in both regions to 8 and 13 respectively while number of cases have reached 331 and 897 respectively.
