Action taken against salons in Karachi for opening despite closure orders

KARACHI: Action has been taken against a number of salons in Karachi for opening despite orders to remain closed according to the Deputy Commissioner South Karachi.

The Deputy Commissioner took to Twitter to inform that action was taken against several several salons in Clifton and DHA areas by the Assistant Commissioner Civil Lines for operating despite the Home Department orders to remain closed.

As per the order of Home Dpt, Saloons & Spas are not allowed to operate.
They put visitors at a greater risk of contracting & spreading #Corona virus.

The decision was taken because salons put visitors at a greater risk of infection because of the nature of their work.

The Sindh Government allowed shopping malls and markets to open in the province last month on the orders of the Supreme Court after lockdown restrictions were relaxed in the country.

These business were given permission to open on one condition and that was the strict implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs). However, food courts, beauty parlors, salons, cinemas and kids play areas were all ordered to remain closed.
