KARACHi: A hand grenade attack took place at an Ehsaas Program Center in Karachi claiming the life of one person while injuring nine others according to sources.
The incident that took place at the Ehsaas Proram Center in the Liaquatabad area of Karachi involved a motorcyclist who threw a hand grenade towards the center that took the life of one person while injuring nine others who were rushed to the hospital.

Many people were present at the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program Center as cash was being dispersed at the time. Two of the people who were injured in the attack were there to withdraw cash under the program. According to police, a Rangers officer who was present at the scene was also injured in the attack including damage to their vehicle parked nearby.
Soon after the incident occurred at the Ehsaas Emergency Program Center more Rangers arrived at the scene and cordoned off the area to traffic while police and Rangers personnel collected evidence and carried out the initial crime scene investigation.
Governor Sindh Imran Ismail took notice of the incident saying that those responsible for this crime will not be forgiven and brought to justice asking law enforcement to arrest those behind the attack.
