ISLAMABAD: People in Islamabad can now have the option to make their vehicle token tax payment online from home using the Islamabad City App instead of having to visit the Excise and Taxation Department.
The Islamabad City App is a project of the National IT Board and apart from providing the ability to make vehicle token tax payment online, citizens have a bunch of other options available providing convenience.
Islamabad Vehicle Token Tax 2020
Some of the facilities provided by Islamabad City App:
- Domicile Certificate
- International Driving Permit
- Token Tax Payment
- Vehicle Registration
Apart from availing these services, citizens can also verify all issued certificates and registrations already done.
How to pay Vehicle Token Tax Online using Islamabad City App?
- Install the app from Google Play Store using this link: play.google.com/store/apps/IslamabadCityApp
- Register using your CNIC and your email ID.
- Click Token Tax Tab.
- Enter your vehicle number.
- Pay your token Tax Online.

When I am trying to get my vehicle token tax detail .
Its showing error like
Error ! Unable to fetch the details.
But when I checked another vehicle token tax its working ok.

I live in Karachi and using a 1982 model car registered in my name in Islamabad.. The car token tax is overdue since three years. How can I pay the tax which should be valid upto June,2023., without sending a person with documents and fee etc to Islamabad.
No sir you cannot, only token can be paid for the vehicles issued smart card once you get it done you can always pay via app otherwise you have send the document and get it done from excise office in islamabad
My token tax is shown on the app along with PSID no. but when I try to pay through bank app 1Bill it always says that the concerned department is not responding pls try later. What to do?

I have paid token tax for my car ahd-900 an year ago for the period 2021 to 2022. I also got an email that your token is paid along with attached receipt. This year when I login to payfor 2022 to 2023 it is telling me my last year token is not paid. Can you guide me what to do?

i paid the token tax and its updated everywhere but i cannot download PDF format. neither it is emailed to me. the number provided in this regard is always busy. the icon on the app regarding PDF file is not responding on any mobile as i have checked with many users.

Since you have paid your token tax and it is updated you don’t need to worry about it at all whenever you visit Excise & Taxation office get the information letter copy it will clearly mention your token tax date :)

it takes 20 to 30 days to get updated otherwise contact excise and taxation department via call

apply for smartcard ISB registered vehicle you have to visit personally while you can pay the tax via Islamabad City app.

Dear Numan, pay via Islamabad City app, once you register and enter your email ID pay your tax E-Challan copy will be delivered on to your email which you can print later on, this service is available for Smart-Card holders otherwise even if you don’t have a paper proof after 15 days it will be updated online automatically.
I’ve paid Token Tax for the year 2021-22 online, how to print the payment certificate for record?
once you pay the token tax online it takes 2 to 3 weeks to reflect online, you dont need to print token tax information anymore it can be checked online.

You don’t need smart card to pay online token tax of your vehicle, if it is registered from Islamabad it can be paid easily.

They are facing issue with One Link payment system that’s why delayed hopefully soon it will be restored back to normal.
Stop misguiding people. This app helps you generate a token number to be paid at an e-sahulat centre. You can’t pay online.
