The Government is likely to announce only one holiday for Eid-ul-Azha 2020 as it falls on Friday according to the calendar of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
According to a report by Geo News, the Government will like only announce one holiday for government institutions and offices as Eid-ul-Azha 2020 falls on the weekend.
Eid-ul-Azha will be celebrated on 31 July 2020 according to the Minister of Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry who earlier stated that the Zilhaj moon will be seen in Karachi and its surrounding areas on the 21 of July.

According to Fawad Chaudhry, the moon will be visible with the help of binoculars and even the naked eye in some areas.
The Government has urged people to celebrate Eid-ul-Adha at their homes and avoid meeting others to limit the spread of the coronavirus as there was a huge surge of cases after Eid-ul-Fitr because people were seen shopping and violating SOPs.
Standard operating procedures (SOPs) have been introduced for cattle markets which will be set up outside city limits to control the spread of the virus.
