PESHAWAR: The Information Adviser to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ajmal Wazir has been removed from his position and replaced by Kamran Khan Bangash.
Kamran Khan Bangash has taken over duties of the Information Adviser and Public Relations in addition to his duties of Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Local Government, Elections and Rural Development.

Wazir had reportedly resigned from his post due to personal reasons tending his resignation which said:
I am unable to dispense my duties as the information adviser, therefore I am resigning from my post,
However, a notification read that Ajmal Wazir has been removed from his post for taking commission from an advertising agency and an inquiry has been initiated into the matter by Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
The notification read:
Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has desired to process a case for a fact-finding inquiry into the recently surfaced audiotape of Ajmal Khan Wazir, former advisor to the chief minister for information and public relation,
