KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (Met Department) says above average rain is expected in the port city Karachi from Jul 20, 2020 as part of a new system of monsoon rains.
According to the Met Department, Sindh is expected to receive 20 more rain this year. Even yesterday, many areas of the city experienced rain including Malir, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, PECHS Society, Shahra-e-Faisal, North Nazimabad and Baldia Town among others.

Furthermore, rain is expected in other parts of the country later this week including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Multan, Peshawar and other northern areas as well.
Based on the statement by the Met Department, around 10 percent above normal rainfall is expected across the city as part of the new monsoon rains.
