KARACHI: Just as expected rain in Karachi has flooded the streets not even sparing the elites residing in DHA and Clifton Blocks as the entire city’s sewage system collapses.
Rain in Karachi is expected to continue for the next few days followed by dust storms according to the notification issued by the Met Department earlier.

The rain has caused several areas in the city to experience power outages even after K Electric claiming that it has taken sufficient steps to cope with the upcoming monsoon rainfall.
According to sources, the following amount of rainfall has been experienced in different parts of the port city.
- Korangi: 106mm (Pvt)
- DHA: 100mm (Pvt)
- Kemari: 80mm (Pvt)
- Saddar: 41mm (PMD)
- Gulshan e Hadeed 38.2 (Pvt)
- Faisal: 32mm (PMD)
- North Nazimabad: 14mm (Pvt)
- Jinnah Terminal: 13.8mm (PMD)
- Saadi Town: 10mm (Pvt)
- Baldia Town: 10mm (Pvt)
- Nazimabad: 8.5mm (PMD)
- Hadeed: 4mm (PMD)
- Masroor: 3.7mm (PMD)
