ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has extended deadline for registration of Virtual Private Networks (VPN) for a period of 2 months till 30 September 2020.
According to the press release issued by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), the decision to extend the VPN registration deadline comes after request from the Ministry of Information Technology (MoITT), Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) and Pakistan Software Houses Association for IT and ITeS (P@SHA).
The regulatory authority further states that legitimate VPN users should contact their internet service providers to have their VPN registered.
PUBG unbanned in Pakistan by PTA
Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) also unbanned PUBG in Pakistan after successful talks with the company’s representatives regarding user data and measures adopted by the company against misuse of the gaming platform.
