ISLAMABAD: Dr Faisal Sultan has been appointed as the new Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on National Health Services having earlier served as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at the Shaukat Khanum Hospital.
This change comes after Dr Zafar Mirza announced his resignation from the post of Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Health which was accepted by Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The resignation of Dr Zafar Mirza came after immense criticism towards the Special Assistants (SAPM) for holding dual nationalities after the Government made their assets and nationalities public.
Now Dr Faisal Sultan has taken over the position of Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Health and his position will now be equal to that of the Federal Minister.
