The weather in Karachi is expected to get better as the port city experiences fourth spell of heavy monsoon rain 6 August 2020 according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department.
Pakistan Meteorological Department issued a weather advisory of a monsoon low pressure from bay of Bengal approaching Sindh on Thursday evening.

According to the advisory, A monsoon low pressure from Bay of Bengal is likely to approach Sindh on Thursday (evening/night). under the influence of this weather system strong monsoon currents are expected to penetrate in Sindh, South Punjab and Eastern Balochistan from Thursday to Saturday.
- Widespread rain/wind-thundershowers, with isolated heavy falls are expected in Karachi, Hyderabad, Thatta, Badin, Tharparker, Umerkot, mirpurkhas, Sanghar, Tando Allah Yar, Matiyari, Tando Muhammad Khan, Jamshoro, Dadu and Shaheed Benzairabad from Thursday (evening/night) to Saturday.
- Scattered rain-thundershowers (with isolated heavy falls) are also expected in Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Khairpur, Sukkur, Larkana, Kambarshahdad Kot, Jacobabad, Kashmore, Ghotki, Kalat, Jaffarabad, Jhalmagsi, Khuzdar, Lasbella and Awaran on Friday and Saturday.
NOTE: Heavy downpour may generate urban flooding in Karachi and Hyderabad and flash flooding in hill torrents of Khuzdar on Friday/Saturday.
All concerned authorities are advised to remain ALERT during this period.
The monsoon rain spells in Karachi began last month and have caused a lot of damage to infrastructure and private private which includes cars and roof of homes collapsing. There has also been loss of life with people being electrocuted on streets.
