Sindh Vehicle Registration now possible on CNIC number

KARACHI: Sindh vehicle registration is now possible on the computerized national identity card (CNIC) number according to the Sindh Excise and Taxation Department.

The Excise and Taxation Department has also introduced a new online Sindh vehicle verification using CNIC where any person can check for information regarding vehicles registered to them.

The new Sindh online vehicle verification system can be accessed via the department’s website at excise.gos.pk where anyone can get information regarding registration of vehicles on their CNIC.

This new system has been introduced to facilitate the Sindh vehicle registration on CNIC and according to a spokesperson of the Excise and Taxation Department, this service will soon be available via SMS as well.

Earlier, the Sindh Cabinet gave approval to new number plates as well which will be made of retro reflective material for maximum visibility. Furthermore, these number plates are said to have several security features including a radio frequency identification tag.
