ISLAMABAD: A cyber attack by India targeted phones and other gadgets of high ranking Pakistan government and military officials according to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
According to the military’s media wing, Pakistan’s intelligence agencies were able to identify that the cyber attack by India targeting these high ranking officials involved, “a range of cyber crimes including deceitful fabrication by hacking personal mobiles and technical gadgets”.

Furthermore, an investigation is now on-going into the matter involving various hostile intelligence agencies.
Steps have been taken and the Pakistan Army has enhanced necessary security measures to thwart any such cyber attacks including action against those found in violation of the standard operating procedures (SOPs) cyber security.
An advisory has also been issued to all concerned departments so that they may be able to identify any lapses in security and take appropriate measures to overcome that.
