However, the cleric has denied the veracity of the video terming it fake according to Geo News, who reported the cleric stating that a “lobby” is working against him ever since he issued statements against the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his inhumane torture and killing of innocent Kashmiri’s.
According to the cleric, he never wears such a fitted dress and the video editor clearly placed his head on someone else’s body which is becoming increasing easy with different Deep Fake tools available on the internet.
However, this is the video and Mufti Qavi says that it was originally uploaded by a man named Hamad on his YouTube channel and he has since apologized to the cleric for his action.
Mufti Qavi is no stranger to controversies and has seen his fair share especially a few years back when he was arrested in the Qandeel Baloch murder case after her parents accused him for involvement in their daughter’s killing which was carried out for honor by her brother.
