Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie Concept

We are expecting Google to release the next major version of their mobile operating system later in the year, the release is expected to be called Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie.

As yet we do not have any details on what will be included with Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie, we have not seen any leaked photos of the OS, so have no details on what Android 5.0 will look like.

 Samsung has given us a device list which gives the names of the handsets that are said to be getting update to Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie.

The list tells us that the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will receive the update to Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie. The same information also tells us that the phablet could get updates for some time to come. Of course this news is great for those who own the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 with AT&T or those who are going to get the handset. The price at the moment is $149 when you take the handset out on a contract with some carriers, including Amazon Wireless.

The phablet has some great features that stand out, one of these is multi-windows. Owners can have two apps open in two windows and these can be resizes independently of the other. The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 also comes with the S Pen and this has had a makeover, making it both thicker and longer than the stylus with the original Samsung Galaxy Note.

The stylus is superb as you can hover it over the screen to preview content. The pen relies on contextual awareness by way of alarms that are audible and visual and these tell you when the S Pen has gone too far from home. The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 was the first phablet to have Jelly Bean out of the box hence why it would be fitting for the device to get Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie.

The stylus will work with handwriting recognition tech, which means that you are able to doodle and handwrite. The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 works on 4G LTE with AT&T and it came out on 9th November of last year. The phablet is thin at 0.37 inch and it comes with a True HD display with 1280 x 720 resolution and a 16:9 ratio.

You may be able to get around 15 hours from the battery and the device runs on the 1.6GHz Cortex A9 GPU, the Exynos 4 processor. There is also a quad core graphic processor, 16GB of storage and 2GB of RAM. The device comes with SD support for extra storage and there is a camera on the back of 8 megapixels, which can take video at 1080p HD.
