The Huawei Ascend D Quad is the manufacturer’s first quad-core smartphone. Upon being unveiled at Mobile World Congress 2012, it was boasted as the “fastest smartphone in the world.” A statement that was backed up by its specs, which include a 1.5 GHz K3V2 quad-core processor (manufactured by Huawei) and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Other specs include 1 GB of RAM, a 4.5-inch IPS+ display with 720p HD definition, and a relatively thin 8.9 mm body. This happens to be one of the first devices from the company to be considered “high-end,” as Huawei focused on affordable devices before 2012. Sicne then, they have made great progress with devices like the Huawei Ascend P1 S at CES, and the D Quad series at MWC.
