KARACHI: At least four people, including a political activist, have been killed in separate incidents of violence across the city.
Tension prevailed in Gulbahar area after the killing of a political activist, Rehan. He was deeply wounded in a firing incident yesterday but succumbed to injuries today. Shops, markets and other activities were suspended in the area after his killing.
On the other hand traders of the city protested against a cracker attack.
According to police, the cracker attack was occurred yesterday on the residence of a local trader Fayaz in Landhi 89 area.
The traders’ community stages a protest against the incident and blocked the roads in Malir, demanding adequate security to the community.
Few days ago, the trader’s son was recovered after paying the ransom amount.
A man identified as Muhammad Siddiq was shot dead in a firing incident in Manzoor Colony. Two other persons were killed in separate firing incidents that occurred in Shaheed-e-Millat Road and Vita Chowrangi, Korangi.
