Karachi : Blast injures five near Al Asif Square – UPDATED

KARACHI: At least four people were injured in a blast in the Sohrab Goth area near Al-Asif Square in Karachi on an hour back 

Police and rescue services have left for the site of the incident.

According to initial reports, a bomb was planted on a parked motorcycle outside a mosque in Jannat Gul Town.

The blast took place when people were leaving the mosque after attending Asr prayers.

The injured have been shifted to a nearby private hospital.

The Super Highway and other surrounding roads have been blocked for traffic.

Karachi has been at the centre of extreme violence in the past year with targeted killings and bomb blasts frequently taking several lives. The bomb blasts targeting security personnel and the minority Shia community in the city have often been claimed by the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

Karachi under attack once again and this time it’s TTP who claimed the responsibility of the blast, Yet it is not confirmed by the police authorities that there was one blast or 2, but initial reports were about 2, The Traffic from the Super Highway which links Karachi with Hyderabad and entire Pakistan has been suspended ( Blocked ), No causualities reported from the site but injured be taken to the near by hospitals.

Since Morning Karachi having violences and Strike reactions and an hour back this Blast at Al Asif Square has messed the normal city life.

KARACHI: A bomb exploded outside a mosque located near Al Asif Square at Sohrab Goth, injuring five people, police said.

According to the police, the bomb was planted at a motor bike which was followed by heavy firing in a residential area Jannat Gul Town.

The rescue teams have reached the site of the incident.
