LAHORE, MAY 5, 2014: Leading property portal Lamudi (Lamudi.pk) is on the road again – this time launching a fleet of branded rickshaws in the company’s trademark orange and white color scheme.
From today, 150 Lamudi rickshaws will hit the streets in Lahore, covering major routes through neighborhoods including Gulberg and Defence Housing Authority (DHA). After this first phase is up and running, the fleet will be expanded to cover areas of Karachi and Faisalabad.
The campaign comes after Lamudi.pk, Pakistan’s leading real estate portal, recently rolled out branded buses on major commuter routes in Lahore and Karachi.
In Lahore, the Lamudi bus is now in operation on the B12 route between the Lahore Junction railway station and Youhannabad. And in Karachi, a second bus is taking the UTS-12 route between Kohkrapar and Kemari.
Saad Arshed, Country Manager of Lamudi.pk, said: “First Lamudi was on four wheels – now we are on three. The rickshaw is so central to daily life in Pakistan that we could not think of a better way to drive our message home.
In much the same way as our buses, the Lamudi rickshaws will be on hand to help residents of Lahore and Karachi get home on time. We are hoping we can make a small difference in easing commuter pain in Pakistan’s major cities.”
Launched in 2013, Lamudi is the online property website for emerging markets. With a large and fast-growing number of property listings worldwide, Lamudi is on its way to becoming the market leader in online real estate for developing markets. In Pakistan, Lamudi is the market leader in terms of growth, with more than 15,000 properties uploaded to its website each month.
