Pak Embassy opens condolence book for Peshawar martyrs

The Pakistan Embassy in Riyadh has placed a book of condolences at its premises in the Diplomatic Quarter (DQ) to pay homage to the martyrs of the militants attack on the Army Public School in Peshawar, the provincial capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

A number of diplomats from various missions in the DQ and members of the Pakistani community visited the embassy to offer their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and pay homage to the martyrs and victims, Arab news reported.

Abbas Sarwar Qureshi, head of chancery at the Pakistani Embassy told Arab News, “We have placed a book for condolence messages for the martyrs and victims of the Peshawar incident under the supervision of our charge d’affaires Khayyam Akbar.”

He said that the embassy would be open between 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. until Tuesday to receive visitors who wish to pay homage.

Recalling the tragedy, Chaudhry Aatif, general secretary of All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) KSA chapter said: “We join in sharing our sympathies with those who have been left bereft following the Peshawar massacre. We offer our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and hope that the Allah Almighty gives them the strength to bear their loss.”

He added that the APML strongly condemns this brutal incident and supports all measures to end terrorism in Pakistan “once and for all.”
