KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Sindh senior vice president, Zahra Shahid Hussain was gunned down here on Saturday night.
According to initial reports, unidentified gunmen shot her outside her residence in Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Phase 4
According to police she was ambushed by two bikers who were lying in wait near her house, which makes it a targeted killing.
“The assailants opened fire on Zahra, 60, as soon as reached the gate of her residence”, police added.
The attackers fled away leaving seriously wounded.
She succumbed to her injuries on her way to the hospital, sources said.
According to hospital sources she was hit by two bullets.

SSP Nasir Aftab claims that according to what investigators had learned from Zahra’s daughter and driver, the eyewitnesses, it was a street crime related murder.
“The PTI leader got killed resisting a robbery”, said SSP Aftab.
The attackers fled away leaving seriously wounded. She was rushed to hospital immediately, but Zahra succumbed to her injuries on her way to the hospital, sources said. According to hospital sources she was shot in the head twice.
