Pakistan have won in the 2nd ODI Match of the three match ODI series to record series win by 2-0. Pakistan put South Africa under pressure right from the start of the match. Match was started late due to a little shawer at Port Elizabeth. In a 45 overs limited match, Pakistan lost their 1st wicket of Nasir Jamshed at just 2 runs and then 2nd at 22 when Muhammad Hafeez got out on 102 runs. On the other end, Ahmed Shehzad was stand strong. He played fantastic innings of 102 runs on just 112 balls with the help of two sixers.

Sohaib Maqsood on the other end also showed full support and scored 42 runs to help Pakistan to come out of difficult period. In the end Umar Akmal also played good innings of 42 runs to get Pak to se a target of 263 runs. Dale Steyn took six wickets in his 9 overs and once again bowled out Muhammad Hafeez. It was 15th time this year that Steyn took the wicket of Muhammad Hafeez. In reply, South Africa fighted fully and right from the start of the innings gave positive indications. Amla scored 98 runs but remained unlucky to score hundred. Smith got early out to pave the way for de Kock’s 47 runs. AB de Villiars also tried his best and played sensible innings of 74 runs on just 45 balls with the help of 2 sixes to return South Africa back to the game. Shahid Afridi took the wicket of AB de Villiers. In the end, South Africa could score 261 runs till the end of the 45th overs.

Junaid Khan took three wickets whereas Shahid Afridi bowled two South African batsmen. Third ODI would be played on 30 November 2013.
