LAHORE: Federal Railway Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique on Tuesday approved a new policy aimed at thwarting attacks on passenger trains.
Interacting with media persons here, Rafique said that jammers would be installed in trains plying between Punjab and Sindh as well as Balochistan.
He said that aerial monitoring of railway tracks would be done in some sensitive areas.
“We will halt terror attacks with the help of police and intelligence agencies,” he said.
The federal railway minister said that patrolling guards would be hired to protect railway track.
