KARACHI: The prime accused in Shahzeb murder case, Shahrukh Jatoi, is over 19 years of age, revealed birth and academic record of the accused.
According to the sources, the investigating officer presented birth and academic certificates before the medical board, assigned to ascertain the age of Shahrukh Jatoi.
The sources said that the documents revealed that Jatoi was born on 27th November 1993, accordingly, his age is 19 years.
Meanwhile, a civil surgeon of Sindh Services Hospital Muhammad Taufiq said that the medical report has been sealed and it would be submitted to the court on Monday.
It is pertinent to mention here that the new medical board was formed after the court rejected a report prepared by a police surgeon, who had concluded that Shahrukh appeared to be a minor.
The new medical board, consisting of 3 radiologists, 2 forensic experts and a dentist, took X-rays of bones and teeth of Shahrukh to determine his actual age.
Earlier, a medical report revealed that Jatoi is at least 18 years old as he possessed all 32 teeth, including four wisdom teeth.
Shahrukh Jatoi, along with three other nominated accused Nawab Siraj Ali Talpur, Nawab Sajjad Ali Talpur and their employee Ghulam Murtaza Lashari, has been accused of killing private university student Shahzeb Khan after a brawl in DHA Phase V on December 25.
