The Finance and Health Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Taimur Khan Jhagra, has announced that car registration in KP will now cost Re. 1 while re-registrations will be free for province residents.
Taking to Twitter, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance and Health Minister revealed new car registration charges in KP. “Register your new car in KP for one rupee.” he said in the tweet while adding that discounted registration fee for large vehicles (above 2500cc) is 1%.

Furthermore, the minister said that the Excise and Taxation Department (ENT) is ready to introduce Universal Number Plates in KP along with access to online registration facility.
