DFML Launches Kia Shehzore in Pakistan

Dewan Farooque Motors Limited (DFML) has introduced the Kia Shehzore light commercial vehicle in Pakistan. The launch event took place in the City of Lights, attended by the company’s top officials. The company also announced plans to release a small electric vehicle (EV) soon. “We look forward to continuing to serve the people of Pakistan with high-quality products and after-sales services through our strong nationwide dealership network,” the company stated.

Kia Shehzore Variants

Dewan Farooque Motors will offer three variants of the Kia Shehzore: Standard Cabin, King Cabin, and Grand Cabin (Double Cabin). Notably, this is the first time a double cabin variant is being introduced in Pakistan.

Dewan Motors Comeback

The Dewan Motors plant, which was closed in 2015, previously assembled Hyundai Sonata passenger cars and Shehzore commercial vehicles. In 2022, Dewan Motors signed a Technical License Agreement (TLA) with Kia Corporation to resume the assembly and manufacturing of special-purpose commercial vehicles.

King Cabin: Rs. 4,159,000
Double Cabin: Rs. 7,499,000

Booking Information

Bookings for the new Kia Shehzore are now open. The company announced on social media, “Bookings are now open! Be amongst the first ones to own the All New Shehzore available in Grand, King, and Standard Cabins. Engine & Performance

The Kia Shehzore features a Euro 2 Naturally Aspirated Engine with a 2,665cc displacement, delivering 79 horsepower and 164 Nm of torque. It comes with a 5-speed manual transmission.

Exterior

The vehicle is equipped with hydraulic service brakes, featuring ventilated discs at the front and drums at the rear. All three variants come with 195/R15C tyres. It includes simple halogen headlamps and indicators, a black slim top grille, and a ventilated lower grille, but no fog lamps.

Interior

Interior features include Rock and Pinion Power Steering, AM/FM Radio, AC, ashtray, cabin light, door armrests, door trim, floor covering, heater, roof trim, fabric seat material, fabric steering material, a 3-spoke TPU sunvisor, trip meter, and a built-in windscreen wiper.

Safety

The safety features listed in the company brochure include a Door-Ajar Warning Light and seatbelts for the driver and passenger.

With the launch of the Kia Shehzore, Dewan Farooque Motors aims to make a significant impact in the commercial vehicle market in Pakistan, offering a range of features and options to meet the needs of various customers. Moreover, Dewan Motors has also introduced an electric vehicle – the Honri Ve 2.0 – in Pakistan.
