Excise Sindh bans on issuance of Any Advance or Choice Number

In Karachi, the Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control Department has issued a notification stating that no advance or choice numbers will be issued from either the current or advance series.

Vehicle owners interested in obtaining special numbers can now apply for Sindh Premium Number Plates. Previously, owners could select advance or choice numbers during registration, but the procedure has since been replaced by the issuance of Sindh Premium Number Plates by the Government of Sindh.

The Government of Sindh auctioned Premium Number Plates earlier this month following the footsteps of Dubai Registration, The Government received overwhelmed response and sold the ‘A1’ plate for 100 million Pakistani rupees to the highest bidder.
