Fake News: Sazgar BAIC starts online pre-booking of vehicles

The Chinese state-owned automotive manufacturer BAIC has not started online pre-booking for affordable as suggested by several media outlets earlier today.

Several media outlets have claimed that Sazgar Engineering Works Limited, the local partner of BAIC, is taking online pre-booking for affordable vehicles.

However, the company is not taking online pre-bookings for any BAIC vehicles yet. It is advised to avoid filling any online forms with your personal information and submitting them.

There is no exact date for the launch of Sazgar BAIC vehicles in Pakistan. We will have to wait for an official announcement regarding the matter.

It is pertinent to mention that Sazgar BAIC plans to launch three vehicles in Pakistan this year, including the BAIC D20 (both hatchback and sedan), X25 crossover SUV and BJ40 Plus off-roader.

Sazgar BAIC displayed these vehicles at the Pakistan Auto Show (PAPS) 2020 and were scheduled for launch the same year, however, those plans met with several delays because of the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdowns taking place in the country.

Sazgar Launches Haval Jolion and H6 SUVs

It bears mentioning that Sazgar Engineering has launched two Haval SUVs, the Jolion and H6.

These two vehicles have created quiet a buzz in the automotive sector because of their competitive price and features.
