As the country’s economic crisis worsens, the automotive industry continues to struggle with normal operation. Today, Ghandhara Nissan Limited (GNL), the company responsible for assembly of Chery Tiggo 4 Pro and Tiggo 8 Pro, has announced that it will be temporarily shutting down production in Pakistan.
According to the company, it has decided to shut down its car production plant from 6th March, 2023 to 10th March, 2023 due to import restrictions on Completely Knocked Down (CKD) kits, which is causing a shortage of inventory.
Ghandhara Nissan Limited added that it will continue production from 13th March, 2023 on alternative weekly basis.

Furthermore, it bears mentioning that price of Chery Tiggo 4 Pro and Tiggo 8 Pro will rise since the cabinet has approved the luxury tax from 18% to 25%, which includes locally assembled vehicles with 1400cc or above engines.
