Ministry of Industries and Production has launched a complaint cell against local car companies, which can be used by consumers if they have any problems with automakers or their vehicles in the country.
According to the details, the Ministry of Industries and Production has established a complaint management system to look into any consumer complaints against local car assemblers/automakers.
The consumer complaints can include:
- Delayed delivery
- Problems with Bookings
- Demanding more than 20% advance payment at the time of booking
- Additional payment in form of difference after increasing the price of vehicle once the final payment has been made
- Issues related to KIBOR +3% penalty payment
How to Register Complaints?
Consumers can register their complaints with the following:

Regarding the complaint cell against local car companies, the MoIP has stated, “In their best interest, customers are also advised to thoroughly scrutinize the provisional Booking Order Form before booking their vehicles and report any violation against the approved Automotive Industry Development & Export Policy (AIDEP 2021-26), available on the website: www.engineeringpakistan.com.”
“At the time of registering complaint, customer may kindly provide their complete contact details and address, as well as details of PBO and CNIC in case vehicle has already been booked.” it added.
