Introduction
Honda CD 70 is one of the most popular motorcycle in the country since its inception in the 1980s due to its durability, reliable engine, and easy maintenance.
The motorbike also has one of the best resale values in its class, which is an important factor for every Pakistani when buying any type of motorbike.
Honda CD 70 2025 is the latest model of the motorcycle, which was released by Atlas Honda on 17 August 2024 with a brand new sticker, which is probably the only change the vehicle gets every year and it maybe that’s a good thing since it is meant to be a utility vehicle.

Honda CD 70 Motorcycles Build and Design
The build quality of the Honda CD 70 Motorcycles is satisfactory considering the lower price tag, which keeps increasing almost every month and several times over a year. In terms of design, it has remained more or less the same since the initial launch back in the 80s with very minor alterations over the years, which is the reason why its considered to have one of the easiest maintenance in the category.
Engine and Transmission
The CD 70 comes with a 72 cm3 engine displacement with 4-speed constant mesh transmission that is capable of producing 5.1 horsepower (hp) with 5 Nm of torque and despite the small engine capacity, the motorcycle has a lot of power and easily capable of reaching north of 80km/h with a light load, which is more than enough for city use.
Honda CD 70 Fuel Average
Honda CD 70 offers one of the best fuel average of any vehicle at 70-75km/l if you are careful with the acceleration, however, the worst fuel average we were able to get from the motorcycle was 60km/l and honestly that is really good considering that current petrol prices in Pakistan.
However, you need to make sure your motorcycle is well maintained and the spark plug is kept clean, tire air pressure is monitored and set according to the recommendations, and regular oil changes are done in order to maintain the best fuel average.
Headlights
This is an area where the Bike seriously lacks as the headlights are not up to the mark, which is understandable because it was never meant to be a top-of-the-line vehicle. If you plan on using the motorcycle during night hours, you may want to make an aftermarket upgrade to the headlight or by adding some extra lighting such as LEDs to make up for the motorbike’s clear deficit in this arena.
Suspension
Clearly when you’re getting the suspension isn’t your top priority as this bike isn’t made for comfort rather it is made to get the job done and take you from Point A to Point B in an affordable manner. The Honda CD70 does have a poor suspension even compared to its older brother CG 125, which has earned the title of ‘Vibration King’.
However, it must be noted that comparing the Honda CD 70 to competition in its own class, including the Road Prince RP-70 or United UC-70, the CD 70 is far superior in terms of suspension quality and overall durability on broken roads or no road at all, which are found almost everywhere in Pakistan.
Brakes
Again, the bike was never meant for speeding and doesn’t handle braking that well at speeds over 60-70km/l, however, the braking performance is satisfactory when you’re traveling around 50km/l in the city. Furthermore, there’s not much you can do to improve your braking performance except regular servicing and a change of brake shoes.
Tires and Road Grip
The tires on the Honda CD 70 are relatively small at 2.25 – 17 (front) and 2.50 – 17 (rear) and road grip is virtually non-existent. However, if you want to improve the road grip, getting slightly bigger tires like 2.50 -17 (front) and 2.75 – 17(rear) does help a lot but nothing extraordinary.
CD 70 2023 comes with tires that are too thin, in fact, I’ve seen tires of bicycles that are bigger than what’s being offered with this motorcycle. It is just recommended that you pay attention to the road and slow down when you see a puddle of water or patch of wet road because chances of slipping are very high indeed.
Price
The price of the latest Honda CD 70 2025 Motorcycle in Pakistan is Rs. 157,900/-
