Rumors of Delayed Launch
Despite the PakWheels report, there are rumors that launch of the Honda HR-V in Pakistan may end up being delayed due to instable economic condition of the country as automobile sector is already struggling with sales and delivery of vehicles because of the constant fluctuations in the currency rate and restrictions of imports of CKD kits by the State Bank of Pakistan.
According to the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA), Honda Atlas witnessed a sharp decline of 29% as company sold just 1280 units in September 2022 compared to 1809 units the previous month (August 2022), which is why the company may consider postponing the launch of their new crossover SUV.
However, Honda Atlas Cars Pakistan Limited (HACPL) continues to tease the launch of the Honda HR-V in Pakistan on their social media handles. “It’s time for an exciting new start.” HACPL wrote on social media, while sharing a teaser of the HR-V. ” The Honda HRV is coming your way.” it added.
