Hyundai Car Prices in Pakistan Raised After Govt Imposes 25% GST

Hyundai Nishat Motor (Private) Limited has announced another hike in car prices in Pakistan due to the Federal Government’s implementation of 25% General Sales Tax (GST) on vehicles having engine capacity of 1400cc and above, SUVs, and CUVs.

It is pertinent to mention that Hyundai Pakistan had previously raised car prices in Pakistan almost two weeks and this is the company’s fourth hike since last month with several more expected in the coming weeks due to depreciation of Pakistani Rupee.

According to the details, Hyundai Pakistan has raised car prices by up to Rs. 591,000 depending on the model, which is going to bring the company’s cheapest sedan to almost Rs. 6.2 million and out of reach of many people.

Hyundai Tucson Price in Pakistan

The new price of Hyundai Tucson GLS Sport (FWD) in Pakistan is now Rs. 8,030,000 after a hike of Rs. 461,000 from the old rate of Rs. 7,569,000, while the price of the higher-end Hyundai Tucson Ultimate (AWD) is now Rs. 8,659,000 from the old rate of Rs. 8,169,000 with an increase of Rs. 490,000.

Hyundai Elantra Price in Pakistan

The company has raised the price of Hyundai Elantra GL 1.6 in Pakistan to Rs. 6,199,000 from the old rate of Rs. 5,849,000 with an increase of Rs. 350,000, while the price of Hyundai Elantra GLS 2.0 has been raised to Rs. 6,730,000 after an increase of Rs. 381,000 from the old rate of Rs. 6,349,000.

Hyundai Sonata Price in Pakistan

Meanwhile, the new price of Hyundai Sonata 2.0 in Pakistan is now Rs. 9,679,000 from the old rate of Rs. 9,129,000 after an addition of Rs. 550,000, while the new price of Hyundai Sonata 2.5 is now Rs. 10,530,000 after an increase of Rs. 591,000 from the old rate of Rs. 9,939,000.
