Hyundai Nishat Motors Private Limited (HNMPL) has resumed bookings for its car, but added a new condition for customers. According to the details, Hyundai Pakistan is only taking new bookings if the customers sign an agreement to pay new prices if the rates are increased by the company prior to vehicle’s delivery.
The Hyundai dealership will be responsible to get the acknowledgement signed from the customer and dispatch the original agreement along with a copy of the Provisional Booking Order (PBO), while keeping a copy to themselves as well. This will protect the company from any legal action against them in case they demand difference from the customer in case of the price hike prior to the delivery.
It is pertinent to mention that Toyota, Proton, Kia, and Hyundai had earlier suspended bookings due to the uncertain political and economic situation of the country as the Pakistan Rupee greatly depreciated against the US Dollar (USD to PKR).
The Pakistani Rupee (PKR) reached as low as Rs. 202 against the US Dollar, which put great pressure of these car manufacturers as most parts for the vehicles were imported for assembly in the form of Completely Knocked Down (CKD) units.
