Kia Lucky Motors Corporation (KLMC) have notified of a massive increase in their car prices in Pakistan as the Pakistani Rupee (PKR) falls to all time low against the US Dollar (USD) and the local economy continues to its downward spiral.
According to the details, the company has increased the price of Kia Picanto, Kia Sportage, Kia Stonic, Kia Sorento, and Kia Carnival in Pakistan by up to Rs. 1.3 million, depending on the model.
“Due to significant and unprecedented devaluation of PKR to USD during last couple of days, it has become inevitable for LMC to increase the current EX-Factory prices of all its vehicles.” the company announced in its notification to dealers.
The new prices will become effective from 31st January 2023.
“While the impact of devaluation of PKR to USD has been immense, LMC being a customer centric organization, has decided not to pass full impact thereof to its valued customers.” it said, adding that only a partial impact is being passed on to the customer and the rest has been absorbed by IMC.
It is pertinent to mention that Pakistan Rupee has fallen to an all-time record-low of Rs. 269.63 against the US Dollar at the closing of the interbank market on 30 January 2023.

Kia Picanto Price in Pakistan
The price of Kia Picanto in Pakistan has been increased by a massive Rs. 100,000 for both variants, bringing the new price of the M/T variant to Rs. 3,200,000 and the A/T variant to Rs. 3,400,000 compared to the old price of Rs. 3,100,000 and Rs. 3,400,000, respectively.

The price of Kia Stonic EX in Pakistan has also been increased by Rs. 255,000 bringing the new price to Rs. 4,800,000 from the old rate of Rs. 4,545,000, while the price of Kia Stonic EX+ has been jacked up by Rs. 402,000, bringing the new rate at Rs. 5,250,000 from the old rate of Rs. 4,848,000.

The price of Kia Sportage Alpha in Pakistan is now Rs. 6,500,000 after a massive increase of Rs. 250,000 over the old price of Rs. 6,250,000. Similarly, the price of Kia Sportage FWD is Rs. 7,000,000 after increase of Rs. 250,000 over old price of Rs. 6,750,000. Meanwhile, the price of Kia Sportage AWD is now Rs. 7,650,000 with increase of Rs. 400,000 over old price of Rs. 7,250,000.

The price of Kia Sorento 2.4 FWD in Pakistan is now Rs. 8,400,000 after increase of Rs. 600,000 over old price of Rs. 7,800,000. Likewise, the price of both Kia Sorento 2.4 AWD and 3.5 FWD is now Rs. 9,100,000 after increase of Rs. 600,000 over old price of Rs. 8,500,000.
