KIA Lucky Motors may be planning on introducing another SUV, the KIA Stonic, in the Pakistan automotive market and the vehicle will reportedly cost as much as a Honda Civic, Hyundai Elantra or Toyota Corolla.
According to PakWheels, the company has imported three units of the KIA Stonic in Pakistan. However, there is no official news regarding the launch of this crossover SUV in the local market.
About KIA Stonic
The KIA Stonic was launched globally in 2017 and came with four engine options, which included:
- 1.0L turbocharged 3-cylinder petrol engine which produces 120 hp and 172 Nm of torque.
- 1.2L 4-cylinder petrol engine which produces 84 hp and 121 Nm of torque.
- 1.4L 4-cylinder petrol engine which produces 100 hp and 123 Nm of torque.
- 1.6L 4-cylinder diesel engine which makes 110 hp and 260Nm of torque.
Furthermore, the vehicle come with four transmission options including 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic and 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT).
KIA Stonic Pakistan Variant
There is no confirmation regarding launch of the crossover SUV in Pakistan or the variant which will be introduced here if the company goes ahead with introducing the vehicle in the local automotive market.
However, if the KIA Stonic is launched in Pakistan, there will be a lot of competition for the vehicle as it is expected to be priced similarly to the Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla and Hyundai Elantra along with other SUVs like MG ZS, Honda BR-V and the upcoming DFSK Glory 500.
