The frequent price hikes in the local automotive industry are mainly due to the poor economic conditions of the country and the depreciation of the Pakistani Rupee against the US Dollar (USD to PKR).
The automotive industry has suffered major damage as sales have fallen drastically and companies are forced to observe non-production days (NPDs) because of import restrictions, which are causing inventory shortages.
