Maruti Suzuki changed the prices of two of its car models, which include the Suzuki Swift hatchback and the Grand Vitara mid-sized SUV.
Following this change, the Maruti Swift now costs up to Rs. 25,000 more. Maruti hasn’t disclosed the specific price changes for each variant yet. Meanwhile, the Sigma version of the Grand Vitara has gone up by Rs. 19,000.
Interestingly, the Swift’s price increase comes just before the arrival of its new model, expected next month. The new version has been tested in India, showing features like a blind-spot monitor.
For the Grand Vitara, only the Sigma version saw a price rise, while the prices for other variants stayed the same. After the adjustment, the model range now starts at Rs. 10.95 lakh, excluding taxes, and goes up to Rs. 19.97 lakh for the highest Alpha Plus Intelligent Hybrid trim.
Conversely, Swift prices have increased by Rs. 25,000. However, the company hasn’t specified if this applies to specific versions or all of them. Additionally, Maruti Suzuki is expected to introduce the refreshed Swift in the country soon. The updated model has already been launched in Japan with a new 1.2-liter, three-cylinder engine.
