MG Motors launching HS & ZS EV SUVs in Pakistan

CEO of Haier and Changhong Ruba, Javed Afridi has confirmed the launch of MG Motors SUVs in Pakistan this year specifically their HS and ZS EV models.

Javed Afridi took to Twitter mentioning the two MG Motors SUVs launching this year in 2020 while he asked his fans for their feedback on what models should be introduced in Pakistan next year.

Earlier the Peshawar Zalmi chairman tweeted comparison the two SUVs with other top tier vehicles in Pakistan showing key specifications and safety aspects.

Key Features of MG Motors SUVs

According to the tweet, the MG HS will be equipped with a 1.5 litre turbo engine producing 162 hp with 250 Nm of torque while providing a fuel economy of 16.1 Km/L.

On the other hand, the MG ZS EV is powered by a electric motor producing 147 hp and 350 Nm of torque while providing up to 370km of driving range on a fully charged 44.5Kwh battery.

Safety Features of MG Motors SUVs in Pakistan

The MG Motors SUVs in Pakistan stand out when it comes to safety offering six airbags in the vehicle as compared to other major car manufacturers in the country with a standard of two front airbags only.

Price of MG HS and ZS EV in Pakistan

Javed Afridi has not officially made any announcement regarding the pricing of these vehicles. However, the price of MG HS internationally starts at £20,995 which roughly translates to Rs. 4.5 million.

On the other hand, international price of the MG ZS EV starts £25,495 which converts to Rs. 5.4 million in Pakistan but these are just estimates and the official prices may vary significantly.
